Frank Durante

Sessional Lecturer

Throughout his career, Frank's Catholic faith has been a cornerstone of his approach to education and leadership. He believes that learning is grounded in the dignity of every person, the pursuit of truth, and a commitment to service. Guided by these values, he has dedicated his career to fostering positive, faith-filled learning communities where students and educators are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Frank holds a Master of Education from the University of Lethbridge and a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Calgary. He recently retired after a distinguished 30-year career with the Calgary Catholic School District, where he served as both a teacher and administrator. During the final 20 years of his career, he served as a K–12 principal, providing instructional leadership and cultivating learning communities committed to student achievement, teacher development, and educational excellence.

Frank brings extensive experience in instructional leadership, curriculum development, and mentoring educators. He is committed to preparing future teachers to lead with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to serving others.
